Kwese TV Unveils Pan-African Boxing Series
Kwese Free Sports, as the channel is called, is the first free to air sports channel offering 24 hour coverage of exclusive premium sports content. The company currently has the exclusive pan African rights for some of the most sought after content in the world which include the EPL, NBA, Formula One, The Spanish Copa Del Rey, English Rugby and Brazilian soccer to name a few. It is also the first time these major sports have been available for the man in the street for free.
Kwese Sports will kickoff (31 March) the first Friday Fight Night showdown will see fighters from ten African countries compete in 10 action packed bouts for African Boxing Union (affiliated to the WBC, World Boxing Council) Titles at the Wild Coast Casino in South Africa.
Kwese TV has continued to grow its premium sports offering to include world class boxing action from internationally licensed fight promotions company Kalakoda Promotions. The flagship three year partnership will see Kwese Sports exclusively broadcast Friday Fight Nights, a new pan-African boxing series showcasing boxers from across the continent, as they fight it out for titles across all weight classes.
