Telone Ups Website , Unveils Mobile App With Focus on Customer Service

Today Telone has unveiled their latest mobile App and website at a local hotel. The event was attended by members of the media, prominent bloggers and online content creators .Speaking at unveiling Telone Managing Director, Mrs Chipo Mutasa said Telone had moved to develop new and refreshed website that speaking to the market and is in sync with the new identity.

When one first visits the new website, you will notice it now looks more modern and very responsive than the last one. The new website allows customers to pay bills and broadband tokens . As with any corporate site you can browse Telone products and services. One of the key futures that I love about the new site is the ability to locate Telone Wi-Fi Hotspots. Telone has also managed to incorporate live chats service as well as FAQs section. The chats service is 24/7 .The Site also includes latest ICT news from around the globe.

Speaking to one of the attendees after the event, Mr Sean Moyo, the Managing Director of online classifieds site Deepleague, he had this to say, “I attended the launch and on paper I think it’s a great initiative and a laudable thrust that Telone have embarked on. They seem to be keeping in tune with the rapidly changing landscape. I particularly liked the new content distribution thrust as this will be a great platform for us content creators to push our content on. All I can say for now is well done but keep the fire burning.”

Speaking at the event Mrs Mutasa Said “we have realised that customers now want services that are Real time, on demand, all Online ,DIY and social hence the launch if the new interactive site and mobile application. This milestone is an indication of how Telone is continuously innovating company, which is dynamic in the face of the new market trends. We have made it our mission to show how we can leverage on the new technology to improve the performance of the business.”

Mrs Mutasa also hinted that their payment platforms have transacted more than $USD 4 million Dollars.

“You may want to know that in the Six months that Telone online platforms have been live, transactions worth $4 million have been facilitated. It is therefore our conviction that the refreshed touch points will see the doubling of the transactions.”She added.

“With a number of network expansion and mobilisation projects lined up, we will ensure that our customers and everywhere in Zimbabwe by 2020 by making us more accessible to customers , including conversation with them and empowering them through the self-service enabled portal”.

TelOne says it will start drawing down the $98 million loan facility from China’s Exim Bank to finance its network modernisation programme by the end of this quarter.
