#IgnitingMbiriYedu : NetOne Feeds 3 800 Families

NETONE, Zimbabwe’s first and State-owned mobile telecommunications company, on Thursday donated foodstuffs to nearly 3 800 families in Mwenezi.

Speaking about the event held in Mwenezi District, Juliet Zizwa , Netone’s Marketing Executive said We are proud to donate mealie meal that will benefit roughly 3 800 families in the Mwenezi community.

This year Netone celebrates 20th year in the Telecom Business. The company started by painting the country orange while still in Harare, before moving to Bulawayo and the rest of the country.

NetOne was established on the side-lines of the World Solar Summit in 1996 and is currently the second largest mobile telecommunications company in the country.

During a similar event in May 2016, Netone acting CEO Mr B Mutandiro said the telecoms company would continue assisting communities in dire need whenever possible and they have not stopped since.

“As NetOne, we do not just milk our customers and abandon them in their hour of need. We are cognisant of the devastating effects of this drought and also more importantly to us, the loyalty of the people of this constituency to our brand. NetOne is a network for the people and it provides the widest coverage in our country, our footprints are all over,” Mr B Mutandiro added.
