Dstv Now Coming To Family, Access And Easyview Subscribers

MultiChoice plans to unveil DStv Now, to subscribers across all of its bouquets by the end of the year, including Family, Access and EasyView.

DStv Now, a streaming video platform from DStv is already available for subscribers to DStv Premium, Compact Plus (formerly Extra) and Compact. DStv Now will be accessible to the lower-priced bouquets by Christmas.

DStv Now is the live streaming mobile option for DStv subscribers, you could watch live rugby on your phone or watch a series on your laptop. Previously, you had to have a full DStv Premium subscription, then in June the service was made available to Premium, Compact plus and Compact customers.

DStv also announced that the expiry of content downloaded for offline viewing has been prolonged from 7 days to 30 days.

DStv Now can be accessed through a web browser or an iOS and Android app. You may register up to four different devices on the same account.

DStv Now has eight million “play events” per month, up 100% on six months ago. Year on year, Web video views have increased by 361%, while app video plays have seen a 264% increase in the same time.
