CABINET RESHUFFLE: Mugabe Appoints Cyber Security, Threat Detection And Mitigation Minister
President Robert Mugabe has just announced his reshuffle in which vice president Emmerson Mnangagwa has been stripped off the Justice ministry. VP Mnangagwa and VP Mphelekezela Mphoko were doubling as cabinet ministers.
The announcement saw the introduction a new ministry called Cyber Security, Threat Detection And Mitigation Ministry. Cyber Security has now been identified as the focus area in the “new Zimbabwe”. Former Finance minister which was Patrick Chinamasa has been appointed the new Cyber Security, Threat Detection And Mitigation Minister.
Mugabe appointed CIO boss Happyton Bonyongwe as the Justice Minister.
Former Home Affairs minister Ignatius Chombo is now the Finance minister which was Patrick Chinamasa’ portfolio, who has been moved to the Cyber Security minister.
Webster Shamu has been appointed the Mashonaland West provincial affairs minister.

The event also saw media blackout in which state security officers turned away private media reports from attending the event, reporters from the Daily News, Financial Gazette, ZiFM Stereo, and freelancers were told by that “there was no cabinet reshuffle”.
