Cassava Smartech Zimbabwe’s Chief Technology Officer Vinod Sharma has left the company, to work in South East Asia, Techunzipped can exclusively review.
Sharma’s role has been to revamp the company’s technology presence as it looks to compete with other mobile operators. Of late, Cassava Smartech is billing itself as a technology company, and not just a mobile operator.
Vinod experience covers data science, analytics, integrations & development of platforms like mobile wallets, micro-insurance/loans/savings, eCommerce, stored value applications & cards. Mobile data charging in post & prepaid systems (IN, OCS & CVBS). Total-experience in the industry is over 18 years.
In the past five years, Vinod oversaw the tech transformation of Cassava Smartech Zimbabwe. He focused on mobile and electronic payments, cross border remittances, artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning, and big data. Helped Ecocash business success at local and international levels with hands-on engineering & business strategy.
