NetOne has today celebrated Valentine’s day with old people from Bumhudzo Home for the old in Chitungwiza and Society For The Destitute Aged (SODA) in Highfields.
In an interview with Techunzipped News in Harare today, NetOne executive public relations, Doctor Eldrette Shereni said the event was inspired by NetOne’s coporate social investment pillars called one care where they look for initiatives for the vulnerable.
Dr Shereni said as NetOne they are setting an example to other organisations to always take care of the elderly.
“We just want to urge all Zimbabweans to be caring to our elders, they are the ones who raised us to be who we are today.
“As NetOne we just said we should appreciate and celebrate Valentines with the elders today.”
Meanwhile, one of the elders from the old people’s home, Sekuru Domingo Zakoni showed gratitude to the NetOne people saying they should be blessed by God and should live long.
NetOne, spent the whole day celebrating with the elderly today. They provided them with valentine’s breakfast and lunch and also humpers to take home with them.
