Back At The Helm: Lazarus Muchenje Reinstated As NetOne CEO

It was a sad day in the tech world when Lazarus Muchenje fired as Netone CEO in 2018 by the then Minister of ICT, Supa Mandiwadzira. And as they say “the more things change, the more they remain the same.”  This year Mr Muchenje was again “fired” from Netone.

His road to coming back has been long and bumpy, but luckily this story now has a happy ending: Mr Muchenje returned to work at NetOne today.  NetOne board has dropped all charges against him and he is back at work with all full salary benefits backdated, it was however not clear on the status of the other 6 co-accused.

The visionary genius who bought the state owned operator back to profitability posting it first profits in years, just one month after his appointment.

Efforts to get a comment from the minister of ICT Postal courier Services, Hon Muswere were fruitless as his phone did not get through.

Developing story.
