InnBucks To Resume Operations
Simbisa Brands’s money transfer platform, InnBucks, has announced that it is back, three months after Zimbabwe’s central bank banned it.
The platform grew in popularity at its launch as it allowed customers to deposit US dollars of up to US$ 200 into their Innbucks accounts which would then be used to purchase from any of the Simbisa outlets nationwide, redeem the cash, or send to anyone else registered with Innbucks.
When Innbucks was banned it had become one of the leading remittance platforms in the country.
In a video shared on its official Twitter handle on Thursday, InnBucks announced it is returning in August 2022 though no exact date was given.
InnBucks said it is coming back bigger, better and stronger.
